As a person who spends her free time blogging about hair, I have to say...
...we have become WAY too obsessed with what other people do with their hair.
Live and let live. Discover, explore, experiment. Leave with what you like. And don't question someone else just because they like something different.
It's getting old. Seriously.
{end rant.]

i agree.
Amen! After all, it's just hair!
LOL. It's no wonder hair blog sites are so popular.
If it's just hair, why blog about it? Why follow and read other blogs about it?
Breath of Light ~ Because a lot of women are still trying to figure out how to care and style for their hair. Because we like sharing ideas, experiences and styles. Because it's fun! But it's no place of mine -- or anyone else's for that matter -- to dictate what another woman does to her hair. It negates the whole "freedom of expression" aspect of the natural hair community.
Agreed. I see what you mean. I don't too much like the idea of anyone trying to tell me what I should do to my hair or how I should feel about it. But I don't agree that it's just hair. The fact that we want to talk about it, share ideas and styles lets me know it's more than just hair.
I totally agree. But it's one thing to discuss it. It's another to villify, demonize and condemn women who don't make the choices we do. It runs completely counter to the essence of being natural, which is having the freedom to do as you choose.
lol it is certainly getting old - great blog you have here, I must follow
amen.
This whole "resurgence of hair" is imo another way to garner revenue
AMEN!!!
I love this blog. For once someone who has things to say about African textured hair but also a multitude of opinions and ideas about everything else in the universe.
The ways our hair looks will also tell what kind of people are we. That's why we need to take care of it.
